Valorant Coach
Brandon oversees ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s esports collegiate leagues, assistant coaches, and player recruitment. He played video games at a high level for years and was one of the best World of Warcraft players in the world in 2018. Brandon currently coaches ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Collegiate Valorant team. His goal as coordinator/head coach is to put ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s esports program on the radar, making it well known throughout the northeast.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Coach
Jacob was ranked within the top 15 in New England for multiple seasons in his competitive Super Smash Bros career that has spanned over a decade.  Jacob’s talent and ability to coach players in ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s collegiate Smash league is a huge asset to ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s esports program. He encourages players to challenge themselves to become better competitors and teammates.

Raden began coaching in 2019 at his former high school, Scituate High School.  Esports has been a big part of his life, playing games like Counter Strike and Rainbow Six Siege regularly. His goal is to enhance ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s esports program by expanding the high level of growth for all players.

The team dives into their practice session, their focus palpable. For Devin Woloszyn-Rivera, a Cybersecurity student, these sessions are about more than just gaming – they’re about growth.

“I enjoy playing for New England Tech as a varsity esports player. Since joining the team, I have improved a lot in the game. My communication has sharpened, as well as my overall game awareness and my mechanics of Rocket League.”

As the morning practice wraps up, the team heads to their respective classes. For Jamaal Dublin Jr., another Cybersecurity major, the benefits of being part of the Esports team are evident in all aspects of his college life.

As evening falls, the Esports Center comes alive again. Students gather not just for practice, but for community events and casual gameplay. Kyle Nicolas, a Criminal Justice major, reflects on his experience.

“During the time I have been a part of the Esports Team, I have made some of my best friends. I was also able to enjoy gaming and learn how to play with a new group of people. Overall, the program has been great.”
